This is a new kit I have developed for Annkullberg using pastel pencils and colored pencils on colorfix paper. There are several kits listed on the site which are very useful if you are just starting with CP’s and want to try out different supports or subjects.

This is the other piece I am doing for the group show. I just went for a simple set up. I really like doing dark still lifes with touches of light . This will become more darker once I start with my color pencils and will have strong highlights. Its really nice how the pencils cover up all the bad brushstrokes I make with the neocolors! Also the coverage is quick and the brush gives out a nice smooth finish.

I had my Usual suspects and Peonies juried intho this show and the artist’s reception happened yesterday. The show was really good this year and there were so many wonderful works. My piece ( Ususal suspects ) recieved the First place in Painting,drawing category! And adding to my surprise I also recieved the Best of show!
The Kenmore show is open to public from Aug 25th – September 2nd 2:3.pm- 8:30pm daily at the Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 N.E. 185th St., Kenmore.
