Pebbles
Another still life 8×10 , the usual.
I talked about the International Color Pencil show in Atlanta in my previous posts. They always have an auction set up during the convention. This year’s auction has a preview on their site -click here . Its just a wonderful collection this year! I am so sad that I won’t be able to go this year, hoping to be there for the next.

Another astounding piece of art, Ranjini… I find this piece very calming in its simplicity and subtlety.
Lovely and very original piece! I love the composition, it’s apparently simple, but I know it’s not, because it catches my attention, I can’t stop looking at it and at every single corner and detail of light or shadow…
Thanks so much Holly & Carolina !
Hi Ranjini,
Unusual background colour has brought real fun. Selection of this background colour helped glass and pebbles stand out, though not brightly coloured themselves.
This still life is incredible Ranjini!!!!!
You know, I try to come up with still life compositions like this, but when I set it up it looks terrible. When someone else sets it up, it looks great!! I’m missing something, not sure what. But you always make such fantastic paintings!!!! It’s always a pleasure to look at your work.
We’ll miss you in Atlanta this year!!

The color and glow in this piece, the pear and the cherries pieces is astounding. I love the softness – it has the smeary feel of oils. Are these on pastelbord?
